What is EOS®? by Ryan Giles EOS® Implementer

EOS® changed my business, my family, and my life…really.  So what, you may ask, is EOS®?  EOS® is the Entrepreneurial Operating System®; a business operating system created in the 1990s by Gino Wickman.  Over the past 20 years, thousands of business leaders have been using EOS® to help them get what they want from their businesses.  Here’s my story…

For almost two decades, I owned and ran multiple businesses (from real-estate to agriculture to information technology).  My businesses were relatively successful, but they weren’t living up to their full potential, growth was starting to produce people and process problems, and ultimately, the businesses relied too heavily on me.  I found the answers to these questions, and many more, when I found EOS®.

The Entrepreneurial Operating System® is rooted in the knowledge that the amount of success a company has depends on the degree to which six key components are strengthened:

      1. Vision
      2. People
      3. Data
      4. Issues
      5. Processes
      6. Traction

The strength of a company in these six key components can be seen in the overall health and profitability of the company (take the Org Checkup to measure your strength in the Six Key Components™).  Strengthening these is simple, but not easy.

A company’s journey to EOS® mastery begins with a 90-minute meeting.  During this meeting, you can learn more about the system and find out if it’s a good fit for your business.  If you choose to move forward, the next step is Focus Day™.  During Focus Day™ and the next two Vision Building days, the EOS® foundation is laid.  We then move to quarterly meetings with a two-day annual meeting.  Most companies master EOS® and “graduate” in two years (though there’s no commitment or contract to sign).

Is EOS® right for your business?  To answer this question, ask yourself if you’re getting everything you want from your business.  If the answer is “No,” check out Gino’s book Traction or schedule your no-charge 90-minute meeting.
