As Q1 winds down, with April just around the corner, it is a great time to step back, reflect, and recalibrate. It has been an interesting year so far, with unexpected turns for many, making it even more important to revisit our goals and plans for 2025! If you are on track with your goals, that is significant and awesome. If you are working to get more clarity or need to circle back and finish them, now is the time!
Step 1: Review your Goals and make sure Performance Planner is finished
What are your goals? Did you finish your Performance Planner?
The most important elements include:
- Tolerations: Make sure your toleration list is finished, and you are actively clearing to create space and energy.
- Goals: What are your 2025 goals? Ensure your goals are clear for what you desire in 2025.
- Focus: Have a visual reminder that you see daily to remind you of your focus, like a word for the year, a vision board, or a goal statement.
Step 2: Reflect, Where Are You Now?
Reflect on where you started in January and where you are now.
The good: What has gone well? The gap: What has been challenging? Current strongest need or desire: What are you REALLY wanting to get to? Review your Performance Planner, your goals, and revisit your desires for 2025.
In the first few months of the year, it is a great time for clearing space, getting clarity, and setting the stage for traction. Next, Q2, spring is an important time to start getting that traction!
- What do I truly want and desire to create in 2025, and what would be most important to focus on in Q2 to move toward that goal?
- What do I need to clear physically, mentally, and emotionally to fully support what I am working toward so I can make progress in Q2?
- What do I need to finish up in the next 2 weeks in order to prepare for the next 12-week, Q2 push?
Step 3: Recalibrate with Your Vision for 2025.
With almost 3 months of the new year done, some things in your planner might be done or different. Goals are meant to evolve with you, not remain static checkboxes or paved paths; they are a progression in a journey and each quarter adds a new level of clarity as you progress. Therefore, it is good to review our vision and goals to see what is sticking versus drifting, what stands out versus seems less important, and what remains a strong desire for your life and future versus a should or wish.
Revisit your 2025 vision. Ask yourself:
- What has changed since the top of the year? What have I learned or noticed that brings new or deeper clarity to my vision and goals?
- What deeply matters that I want to be mindful, deliberate, and intentional about driving forward?
- What has been distracting me or pulling me away from my core priorities?
- What do I need to highlight, plan, and refocus on?
If a goal no longer feels aligned, release it. The parts that resonate and stand out, consider what is needed to give them momentum and progress forward.
“Success is not final, failure is not fatal, it is the courage to continue that counts.” – Winston Churchill
Step 4: Map the next 12 weeks.
April, May, and June is the next twelve-week sprint. Narrow your focus to three to five core priorities that will truly move the needle.
Ask yourself:
- What three to five key outcomes will make Q2 a success?
- What are the biggest obstacles preventing progress toward my goals, and how can I remove them?
- How can I strengthen my accountability and structure to ensure I follow through on my commitments?
- What are the deliverables needed for each month?
“What you do every day matters more than what you do once in a while.” – Gretchen Rubin
Step 5: Plan out April.
Spring comes and goes quickly. World rhythms have LOTS that happen in the spring. The weather gets nice, people want to be outside, and kids get excited about sports, parties, and outdoor fun. The world comes out of winter, wakes up, and wants to move. Those who are ready and have a plan, get into action. You want to be part of the natural energy and flow. To set yourself up for success, here are some keys:
- What do you want to accomplish by the end of April that supports your 2025 goals?
- What would you need to do each week to do that? (milestones)
- What could get in your way and how can you plan to overcome those possible detractors?
- What would inspire or support you to stay focused when executing feels tough?
Wherever you are today, you are right where you need to be. That can sound like minimizing if there are things we regret, or targets missed, but truly when we stand in acceptance and appreciation and embrace right where we are, we are able to learn, look up and move forward. When we get caught in the past, we keep looking back, which makes the path forward crocked.
Be present. Celebrate the wins. See the good. Look at what is working and build on it.
Every day and every quarter is an opportunity to step into the vision you desire for yourself. What matters is that you keep moving, learning, and showing up with your best self, mindset, and feet ready to move.
Take this time, at the end of March, to check in with yourself. Reaffirm your goals. Finish Q1 milestones. Clear the clutter mentally, emotionally, and physically to create the space for your next level of success.
As you move into Q2, consider what shifts will help support you most.
What is one thing you are committing to for the next twelve weeks? Post it on your bathroom mirror and make it happen! It matters!
To Your Success!
