Throughout the year things change and evolve. We often set goals at the top of the year, and ideally revisit those each month and quarter.
I have noticed in the bigger picture and seasons of the year, the movement between August and September is a good time to take a more extensive look at the year. What has been done? What is not done? What changes or adjustments need to be made?
Below are 7 key questions for leaders and professionals to ask themselves to help assess and finish the year strong.
7 Key Questions For Leaders
- What are the vision and my goals; are they clearly communicated?
- What steps are we taking and where can I improve?
- What is getting in the way; are we proactively addressing obstacles?
- How do we need to adapt to changes; is that communicated?
- What example am I setting and communicating with my actions?
- How is the team doing? Am I giving feedback? Is it understood and applied?
- What environment am I creating with my words and actions?
We are in a season of change. It can be tempting to just move into survival. Having a plan and making needed adjustments is the key to thriving.
Hope you have a productive fall and upcoming months. Take some time for reflection. Create systems and plans to excel this fall.
